Here's more information about the rescues we support.

Balto & Co Dog Rescue UK - A non profit rescue in the UK, this is the rescue our boy Lenny came from. The aim of the rescue is to take in some of the more difficult to place and/or at risk dogs. The founders have and do volunteer with numerous animal rescue charities and have witnessed first hand what happens to dogs than can not be placed into rescue. These dogs very often tend to be large breed animals who have mixed heritage, meaning that breed specific rescues can not help but more generic rescues are put off by the knowledge that these animals often need more than the average home.

Ultimately these animals end up facing death in the council funded pounds or a lifetime sat in a kennel for no reason other than they are the wrong breed.

Sadies Stray Dog Rescue - A non profit rescue in Bacau Romania, this is the rescue that saved Maisey Daisey and her adopted sister Winnie. The aim of the rescue is to relieve the suffering of dogs and cats in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for such animals primarily in Romania. They aim to educate the public in matter pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

Both rescues are extremely worthy and are passionate about saving the lives of our four legged friends. As a customer you can decide which rescue you want to donate the 10% profit from your sale to. If you find that decision difficult simply select, from the drop down box, to donate 5% to each rescue.

Animal Lifeline is a non profit, voluntary group and a registered charity, founded over 44 years ago and is based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Its purpose is to save abandoned and unwanted dogs and puppies and find them new homes and loving owners.

Each year the charity rescues and re-homes around 300 dogs and puppies and has saved more than 11,000 over the years . It always has at least 100 dogs in its Serendipity Kennels, awaiting re-homing. It never has any dogs put down unless on veterinary grounds. Those that cannot be found new homes are kept in the sanctuary as part of the Animal Lifeline ‘family’.

Lifeline normally re-homes dogs only in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
The charity is self-supporting and relies on its own fund-raising efforts and public donations to maintain its vital activities. All Trustees and officials are unpaid.

Maisey Daisey, Winnie & Lenny Would like to take the opportunity to thank you for helping us give back to Rescue and help to make a difference to the lives of more dogs and cats.
